《21世纪大学英语第一册》教学大纲
本门课程的教学目标和要求：培养学生具有较强的阅读能力，一定的听和译的能力，初步的写和说的能力，使他们能以英语为工具，获取专业所需要的信息。大学英语教学应帮助学生掌握良好的语言学习方法，打下扎实的语言基础，提高文化修养，培养学生语言运用能力、交流信息能力，以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要。
教学重点和难点：本册应掌握的词汇量约1000个左右，四级词汇量约650个左右，常用的固定搭配、短语、习语、成语等约200个左右。课文内容的剖析及理解，掌握作者写作目的及行文的结构方式。听力特色教学，学生上机自主学习，教师辅导。
教学对象：一年级非英语专业本科生
教学方式：课堂讲授，课后练习
教学时数：周学时3，总学时60（精读4学时，听力2学时）

Unit 1 Secrets of A Students (4学时)
教学目标和要求：通过了解英国A级学生的学习秘诀，使学生们充分认识到学习成绩的好坏不完全取决于天赋，还要依靠科学的学习方法。
教学重点和难点：
